Meadow Kelly

A study in contrasts. That phrase is more fitting a description than any other used to describe me. I would venture to say that it describes most people. I am a hermit who can stay home with the blinds drawn for weeks on end or I am a nomad traveling to green hills where my heart sings with each breathe of crisp, lilac-scented air rushing up from the valley below. I am a fierce friend who will stand on the tracks and face down the locomotive with you or an ardent enemy who could throw you under the same train, given cause.

Like everyone else, save the extreme few at the top end of the tax bracket, I must toil away for my pennies so that I may pass them along to others. The myriad of jobs I have held over the years is vast including; gas station attendant, condominium cleaner, greenhouse laborer, loading and unloading livestock feed, secretary, supervisor/manager with an international service cooperation, muralist and all sorts of jobs in between. These days I make my living at home, writing content for the web.

Recently, I have taken some time away from work. With the extra hours to fill, I have returned to an old love, quilting. Time spent quilting is enjoyable indeed. In addition to quilting, I enjoy writing fiction, cross-stitching, soap making, gardening, (artistic) woodburning, holistic health & self-sufficiency studies/living, diy projects of all sorts, painting and spending time with my darling grandchildren.

IsadoraPandora suggested that I join HubPages some time ago. When I finally did join, I  'followed' a few hubbers who I enjoy reading. Although my writing tends towards gardening everywhere else, I will be adding hubs on varying topics. I have a multitude of interests which I look forward to sharing here at HubPages.
